Two Myanmar nationals, aged 26 and 30, have been charged in connection with the assault of a police officer. However, the charges could not be read to the accused in court today. This is due to the fact that both men do not understand the Malay language, hindering the legal proceedings. The court was unable to proceed with the reading of the charges as a result. Arrangements are being made to provide translation services to ensure the defendants understand the accusations against them. A new court date will be set once translation arrangements are finalized, allowing for a fair hearing. The incident occurred in Malaysia, but the nationalities of the accused are specifically Myanmar.
