A tragic road accident in Madaripur’s Shibchar upazila claimed the lives of two individuals – Bithi Akter, 35, and Aysha Akter, 9 – on Friday. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on the Shibchar-Kutubpur regional road near the second Khand Morolkanndi area. Both victims were en route to a wedding ceremony when they were struck by a covered van. Two others sustained serious injuries in the collision and are receiving medical attention. The deceased, Bithi Akter, was the wife of Khairul Madbar from Madbarkandi village, while Aysha Akter was a resident of the same area. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident and the condition of the injured.
