Two individuals are facing prosecution related to the tragic fire that occurred at restaurant U Kojota in Most last January. The state prosecutor has charged them with endangering the public through negligence. The fire, which resulted in seven deaths and ten injuries, was caused by the collapse of a gas heater. Jakub Procházka, the district state prosecutor of Most, confirmed the charges to Czech Television. If convicted, the accused could face up to ten years in prison, according to the criminal code. The investigation has now concluded with the filing of formal charges against the two suspects. The case is expected to proceed to trial in the coming months.
