Turkey’s Federation of Truck and Bus Drivers (TŞOF) has announced a nationwide initiative to minimize noise disruption during the upcoming University Entrance System (YKS) exams on June 20-21. The decision, made by President Mehmet Yiğiner, aims to avoid disturbing the over 2.4 million candidates taking the crucial exams. Drivers across the country are being asked to refrain from using their horns unless absolutely necessary during exam hours. This measure intends to create a more conducive testing environment for students. The federation hopes this small act will contribute to a less stressful experience for those participating in the YKS. The initiative reflects a broader sensitivity towards the importance of the exams for Turkish students’ futures.
