The Presidency's Communications Director, Burhanettin Duran, announced the deployment of Turkey’s first floating production platform, Osman Gazi, today. The platform will be officially sent to its designated location with a ceremony. Osman Gazi is set to operate in a specified location within the Black Sea for a period of 20 years. This deployment marks a significant step for Turkey’s energy production capabilities. The platform represents a key asset in developing resources within Turkey’s maritime territories—referred to as the “Mavi Vatan” (Blue Homeland). This initiative is expected to bolster Turkey’s energy independence and contribute to regional energy security. The Osman Gazi platform will play a crucial role in the extraction and processing of resources from the Black Sea.
