Tunisia has experienced a significant increase in olive oil exports, shipping 368,000 tonnes over the past nine months – a 50% rise compared to the previous season. The majority of these exports, 86%, were shipped in bulk form to international markets. This substantial growth positions Tunisia as a leading exporter of olive oil. Simultaneously, domestic consumption of soybean oil is also on the rise within the country. The data originates from the Tunisian National Agricultural Observatory (ONAGRI). This surge marks a notable achievement for Tunisia's agricultural sector and its role in the global olive oil trade. The increase demonstrates a strengthening of Tunisia’s position in the international market.
