Former US President Donald Trump has lauded the success of the German far-right party, Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD), in the state election held in Sachsen-Anhalt. Trump celebrated AfD’s performance on his Truth Social platform, describing it as a “great night” for the populist party. He attributed their gains to voter frustration with Germany’s immigration policies, which he claims have caused significant damage. Trump stated that AfD is gaining momentum and will no longer tolerate the current situation, concluding with the slogan “MGGA” – “Make Germany Great Again.” In Sachsen-Anhalt, AfD secured 43.8 percent of the vote, surpassing the results of all other German political parties. However, the party remains three seats short of achieving a majority in the state parliament.
