Venezuela’s National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh) has forecast widespread rainfall and electrical activity across much of the country. This is due to a new tropical wave currently located northeast of French Guiana. The disturbance is expected to move towards Venezuela’s coasts and impact a large portion of the nation. While currently off the coast, the wave is predicted to formally enter Venezuelan territory soon. Citizens should prepare for potentially heavy showers and increased electrical storm risks. Further updates and specific regional forecasts will be issued by Inameh as the wave progresses.
