University Grants Commission (UGC) member Professor Dr. Abdullah-Al-Mamun stated that teacher training programs will be crucial in transforming Bangladesh’s higher education system. He made the remarks on Wednesday, June 24th, at a trainer training program for the ‘Senior Faculty Professional Development Program’ held in Cox’s Bazar. The program focuses on teachers’ training and graduate studies under the Higher Education Acceleration Project (HEAT). Dr. Mamun emphasized the pivotal role of skilled educators in driving positive change within universities. The initiative aims to equip faculty with the necessary tools and knowledge to enhance the quality of higher education. This training program is a key component of broader efforts to modernize and improve the standards of universities across the country.
