Several members of the Finnish Parliament were delayed for a plenary session scheduled to begin at 12:00. The delays were caused by a train that remained stationary for several hours due to track damage. Among those affected was Päivi Räsänen, a Member of Parliament for the Christian Democrats. Räsänen reported that she had been traveling from Riihimäki for over two hours without being able to pass the site of the damage. She noted that other MPs were also trapped in the same carriage. The incident caused significant disruption to the scheduled legislative proceedings.
