Three days after the launch of the TollRo road toll system in România, carriers are continuing to report problems with the platform. Issues range from illogical routes directing trucks through city centers to difficulties creating accounts and app incompatibility with older phones. Radu Dinescu, Secretary General of the National Union of Road Carriers in România (UNTRR), has highlighted these concerns. Carriers fear that merchants may use the new tolls as a pretext to increase prices. The system’s initial rollout has been marred by these technical and logistical challenges impacting the transport sector in România. These problems are creating disruption and increased costs for transport companies operating within România.
