Three members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) South Division were attacked while attempting to apprehend a suspect in the Gauchia area of Rupganj. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, with reports indicating that the officers were subsequently taken to Araihaizār and further assaulted. Among the injured is Sub-Inspector Mamun Matubbor, with one officer reported to be in critical condition. The attacks took place across the Gauchia and Shantinagar Bazar areas of the Uditpura Union. Police officials confirmed the details of the incident later that night. The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the assault on the law enforcement personnel.
