Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has lost a legal challenge to overturn a Canadian visa refusal. The decision prevents him from entering Canada for Ghana's World Cup opening match in Toronto. Partey, a former Arsenal player, is currently awaiting trial on rape charges in the United Kingdom. Despite this setback, he remains eligible to participate in the tournament. He will be able to play in Ghana's subsequent two matches. Both of those upcoming fixtures are scheduled to take place in the United States.
