Poland is bracing for a dramatic temperature drop after a mild mid-week. Temperatures in regions like Ziemia Lubuska and Dolny Śląsk are expected to reach 18°C. However, the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) forecasts a sharp cold snap beginning October 19th and 20th. Suwalszczyzna and Lubelszczyzna will see daytime highs of only 7°C. The most significant chill will be felt near Zakopane, where temperatures are predicted to plummet to 0°C. This represents a significant thermal shock for the country, ending the recent pleasant autumn weather. Residents are advised to prepare for drastically colder conditions.
