Thailand’s private sector is more optimistic about the country’s economic future, increasing its 2026 GDP growth forecast to between 2.1% and 2.5%, up from a previous prediction of 1.6%-2.0%. The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) attributes this revision to robust export performance and increased private investment. Export growth projections have also been upgraded, now expected to reach 12%-16% compared to the earlier estimate of 8%-10%. Despite the positive revisions, the JSCCIB maintains its inflation forecast within a range of 2.5%-3.0%. These updated projections signal a strengthening economic outlook for Thailand in the coming years. The committee’s assessment reflects growing confidence in the nation’s economic resilience and potential.
