Deputy Prime Minister Phạm Gia Túc has directed the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committees of Cao Bằng Province and Lạng Sơn Province to study a proposal regarding temporary, free operation of the Hữu Nghị - Chi Lăng Expressway and the Đồng Đăng - Trà Lĩnh Expressway (Đồng Đăng - Đông Khê section). The proposal, initiated by the investor, aims to provide free access to these highways for the public during the 2027 Tet Nguyên đán holiday. The directive calls for research and resolution of the investor's request to facilitate this temporary toll exemption. This aims to ease travel for citizens during the important Vietnamese Lunar New Year. Specifically, the focus is on the Hữu Nghị - Chi Lăng and Đồng Đăng - Trà Lĩnh (Đồng Đăng - Đông Khê segment) expressways located in Lạng Sơn and Cao Bằng. The relevant authorities are tasked with examining the feasibility and implementation of this public service initiative.
