Daejeon Jungbu Police have arrested a 17-year-old male, identified as A, on charges of theft related to a fraudulent online transaction. The suspect allegedly posed as a buyer interested in a secondhand purchase to steal valuable jewelry worth several million won. The scheme involved arranging a meeting under the guise of a typical secondhand deal. After gaining access to the jewelry, the suspect fled the scene. Police have since apprehended the teenager and are continuing their investigation into the incident. A is currently facing charges but has been released without detention pending further legal proceedings.
