Three Tanzanian startups have been awarded a total of 30m/- in seed funding following the Energy Efficiency Hackathon 2026. The competition aimed to foster commercially viable clean-energy solutions developed within Tanzania. The initiative was a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Energy, the Embassy of Ireland, TIRDO, and the United Nations Development Programme. This funding represents a commitment from the government and its partners to support local innovation in the energy sector.
