The Tanzanian government has obtained ten additional scholarships for Form Six science students to study in Russia, bringing the total number of recipients under the Samia Scholarship Extended programme to sixty. These opportunities stem from an agreement made during President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s recent visit to Russia with the Peoples’ Friendship University (RUDN). The program aims to support high-achieving students in pursuing undergraduate studies abroad. This expansion of the scholarship program underscores the government's commitment to investing in higher education and fostering international academic collaboration. The Samia Scholarship Extended programme is designed to provide Tanzanian students with access to quality education in foreign universities. This latest development will enable more bright Tanzanian minds to benefit from educational exchange opportunities with Russia. The initiative highlights the strengthening ties between Tanzania and Russia in the field of education.
