Over 1.59 million Standard Four pupils in Mainland Tanzania commenced their national assessment today, a two-day examination taking place in 21,008 primary schools across the country. The assessment, known as the Standard Four National Assessment (SFNA) 2026, is a key component of a restructured national evaluation schedule. This revised schedule was jointly developed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. The SFNA is designed to evaluate pupils’ progress at a crucial stage of their primary education. The exercise aims to provide valuable data for improving the quality of education in Mainland Tanzania. Results from the assessment will inform future educational strategies and resource allocation.
