Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) has approved dividend distributions for seven life insurance companies. Fubon Life Insurance is set to distribute the largest amount, totaling NT$11.4 billion (approximately $360 million USD). This marks a significant return to dividend payouts for Cathay Life and Taiwan Life, which had suspended distributions for four years. The approvals follow applications submitted by the insurers and reflect their financial performance. Other approved companies include Nan Shan Life, China Life, Shin Kong Life, and Taishin Life. The FSC’s decision aims to benefit policyholders and bolster confidence in the insurance sector. These dividend payments are expected to be disbursed in the coming months.
