A widespread weather warning has been issued for several regions of Sénégal, predicting rainfall, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms, lasting until 20:00 hours this Saturday, October 10th, 2026. Dakar and its surrounding areas are expected to experience light or intermittent showers between 10:00 and 20:00 hours. Southeastern regions like Tambacounda and Bakel are also forecast to receive rainfall, including possible moderate to heavy thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Further south, Ziguinchor and Cap-Skirring are predicted to experience afternoon thunderstorms potentially extending into the evening. Risks extend further west to Kolda and Sédhiou where sustained rainfall is expected. Central-Western areas including Kaolack, Kaffrine, Fatick, Foundiougne and the Saloum Islands are also anticipated to experience rain showers, including thunderstorms. Northern regions around Louga and Linguère remain under potential rainfall conditions, as does Saint-Louis.
