Severe thunderstorms swept across the Czech Republic overnight, bringing heavy rain and hail in some areas. Emergency services responded to a lightning strike at a children’s camp in the Jindrichuv Hradec region, treating six individuals. A man briefly lost consciousness and was airlifted to a hospital, while five children were transported by ambulance in stable condition. Crisis intervention teams were also deployed to the camp to provide support. The intense weather also caused significant travel disruptions, with limited service reported on the railway line between Prague and Benešov. Authorities are advising caution and monitoring the situation as the storms move through the country.
