Six ancient Egyptian artifacts, illicitly trafficked, have been repatriated to Egypt following their recovery in Peristeri, Greece. The artifacts were formally returned during a ceremony held at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. Greek authorities located the items, which are of significant cultural importance to Egypt. This repatriation marks a success in combating the illegal antiquities trade and strengthens cultural cooperation between Greece and Egypt. The recovered pieces represent a valuable contribution to Egypt’s cultural heritage. The handover signifies Greece’s commitment to protecting and returning illegally obtained cultural property.
