Mongolia’s State Bank has expanded its E-Bill service, a platform enabling convenient digital utility payments, through a new partnership with Golomt Bank and its SocialPay application. E-Bill allows users to pay for essential services like electricity, heating, water, and internet directly through various fintech platforms and apps, eliminating the need for in-person bank visits. Previously integrated with platforms like Toki and i-Mongolia, the addition of Golomt Bank’s SocialPay broadens access for its customers. This collaboration strengthens ties between banking institutions and fintech companies, increasing the availability of digital financial services nationwide. The service is unique in offering a unified experience regardless of chosen bank or payment app. State Bank plans to further expand E-Bill’s reach by offering it to other commercial banks and payment app developers, aiming for wider accessibility and improved financial convenience for citizens.
