Mongolia’s State Bank will finance the “NEOCITY” smart city project through its “Green Housing Loan” program, following a cooperation agreement with Mongolian Fintech Group LLC. The “NEOCITY” project, located in the 8th district of Khan-Uul, aims to construct a self-sufficient urban area spanning 17.3 hectares, including 2,400 apartments, a school, kindergarten, hospital, commercial spaces, and recreational facilities. Notably, the development is seeking “LEED Gold Pre-certification” from the U.S. Green Building Council, marking a first for environmentally friendly, energy-efficient building solutions in Mongolian housing. This partnership intends to attract international funding, promote ecological awareness, and increase access to green housing options. The project seeks to improve living conditions, reduce air pollution, and contribute to the growth of sustainable housing in Mongolia. The initiative aligns with national sustainable development goals and supports environmentally conscious projects.
