Singaporeans commuting via SMRT trains will now have access to news updates with the launch of audio bulletins at 68 stations. These short news broadcasts from The Straits Times (ST) will air at the top of each hour between 7:00 AM and 8:30 PM, from Monday to Saturday. The initiative aims to keep commuters informed during their travels around Singapore. The bulletins will provide concise news summaries, offering a convenient way to stay updated on current events. SMRT and ST collaborated to implement this service, enhancing the passenger experience. This expansion of news access focuses on providing information to riders throughout the SMRT rail network within Singapore. The broadcasts are intended to cater to the busy schedules of commuters within the country.
