South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) announced a record-breaking ₩69 trillion (approximately $53 billion USD) budget for 2027. This represents the largest budget allocation in the ministry’s history. A significant portion, ₩30 trillion (approximately $23 billion USD), will be dedicated to increasing housing supply, addressing a key national priority. The remaining funds will be allocated to fostering the growth of future mobility technologies and bolstering related infrastructure. The budget reflects the government’s commitment to tackling housing shortages and promoting innovation in the transportation sector. This investment is expected to significantly impact both the housing market and the development of next-generation transportation systems within the country.
