South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the appointments of two new ambassadors. Hong Ji-pyo has been appointed as the new Ambassador to Qatar. Han Jung-il will serve as the new Consul General in Da Nang, Vietnam. The appointments were made public by Yonhap News Agency in Seoul. These diplomatic postings signify continued efforts to strengthen bilateral relations with both Qatar and Vietnam. Both Hong and Han are expected to assume their respective roles in the coming weeks, pending formal acceptance by the host countries. The Ministry anticipates these appointments will facilitate increased cooperation across various sectors.
