A restored equestrian statue of General Rudolf Maister, a key figure in establishing Slovenia’s northern border after World War I, was re-unveiled in a ceremony at the Park of Military History in Pivka. The event took place on the eve of Slovenia’s Statehood Day, commemorating the nation’s independence. Maister is celebrated for leading Slovenian forces to victory in 1918, securing crucial territory. The bronze statue had previously fallen into disrepair and undergone extensive restoration work.
