The Ilidža fire department in Bosnia and Herzegovina received a significant donation of firefighting equipment from their counterparts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The donation includes complete sets of protective gear for 21 firefighters, consisting of suits, helmets, gloves, boots, and raincoats. This contribution will enhance the department’s capacity to respond to emergencies and ensure firefighter safety. Ilidža previously received two firefighting vehicles from Germany in 2025, further modernizing their resources. The donations highlight international cooperation in bolstering emergency services. The Sarajevo Times reported on the delivery, emphasizing the value of the Slovenian support. This equipment is expected to significantly improve the Ilidža fire department’s operational effectiveness.
