Slovakia will adjust its minimum living standard starting July 1st, triggering changes to numerous social benefits, pensions, and the tax system. The increased minimum wage will impact eligibility for early retirement, requiring a minimum monthly pension of 472.40 euros. Parents receiving maternity benefits will see an increase in their parental allowance to 519.60 euros per month, beginning in January. Additionally, the non-taxable income threshold will be raised, resulting in slightly higher net pay for employees starting in February. The overall adjustment, a rise of 11 euros in the minimum living standard, aims to provide economic relief and adjust social support levels within the country. These changes are expected to affect a significant portion of the population relying on state support and pensions.
