A 23-year-old citizen of Slovakia was held captive in a hotel in Warsaw after believing she was travelling to Ukraine for work. The woman managed to alert her mother when she realized the deception. Polish police successfully freed her and have arrested four men in connection with the case – two citizens of Slovakia and two citizens of Ukraine. Authorities are releasing details of the operation that led to the woman’s liberation. The victim had been lured with a job opportunity in Ukraine but was instead imprisoned in the Warsaw hotel.
