A new analysis of over 1,400 Slovak companies reveals the significant economic impact of family-owned businesses. These enterprises collectively generated €18.7 billion in revenue in the past year, demonstrating their continued strength within the national economy. Wholesale trade proved to be a major contributor, accounting for over one-third of the total revenue. The findings highlight the important role these businesses play in driving economic activity and employment in Slovakia. Despite potential economic headwinds, family businesses have maintained a solid financial footing. This data underscores their resilience and adaptability in a dynamic market. The substantial revenue generation positions them as key players in the country’s overall economic landscape.
