Cities in Slovakia have established a network called “Bezpečný bod” (Safe Point) aimed at assisting refugees and other foreigners with integration into Slovak society. This network connects various centers offering support to newcomers navigating life in Slovakia. The initiative represents a proactive approach by Slovak municipalities to address the challenges faced by those arriving from abroad. However, the focus now shifts to ensuring the long-term sustainability of “Bezpečný bod” and its continued ability to provide crucial services. The network’s success relies on continued cooperation between cities and sustained funding for its operations. Maintaining momentum will be key to fostering successful integration outcomes for refugees and foreigners in Slovakia. The project highlights a growing need for coordinated support systems for newcomers across the country.
