Slovakia is implementing a new electronic invoicing system, with the Financial Administration currently listing 36 certified e-invoice delivery service providers and an additional 16 undergoing accreditation. Businesses are advised to verify service guarantees, particularly regarding system downtime, when selecting a “digital postman” for e-invoice delivery. While paid services are available, free options also exist for receiving invoices electronically. According to Stanislav Pavlovič, head of the Financial Administration’s IT section, Slovakia is ahead of many countries in adopting this technology. The rollout of electronic invoicing is now underway, aiming to modernize financial processes for businesses. Careful provider selection is crucial for ensuring reliable service.
