The investigation into the disappearance of two sisters, aged 12 and 16, who went missing from a foster home in Civitella Alfedena and were later found in Formia, is expanding. Authorities suspect a network of accomplices aided in the abduction. Currently detained are the girls’ mother, Valentina D'Acunto, her partner, and D'Acunto’s father, all facing charges of aggravated kidnapping. They are accused of acting in concert to commit the crime. All three suspects are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Thursday to address their involvement in the case. Prosecutors believe the kidnapping was not an isolated incident and are actively pursuing leads to identify additional individuals connected to the crime. The focus is now on uncovering the extent of the alleged conspiracy.
