Singapore is launching “AIxAccountancy,” a new program designed to equip 60,000 accountancy and corporate finance professionals with artificial intelligence skills over the next three years. The initiative, a collaboration between the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), falls under the broader National AI Impact Programme. AIxAccountancy specifically targets non-tech professionals, aiming to enhance their understanding and application of AI within the finance industry. This program intends to prepare the workforce for the evolving demands of the sector, driven by increasing AI adoption. The curriculum will focus on AI fluency, enabling professionals to leverage AI tools and technologies effectively. By investing in this upskilling initiative, Singapore seeks to maintain its competitive edge in the global financial landscape.
