The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has introduced a new ambulance model designed for greater flexibility in emergency medical services. These new vehicles can be quickly reconfigured to transport up to two patients simultaneously, improving efficiency during mass casualty incidents or situations requiring multiple patient transport. The updated design stems directly from feedback provided by SCDF frontline crews, ensuring the ambulances meet real-world operational needs. Currently, five of these reconfigurable ambulances have been deployed across Singapore, enhancing national emergency response capabilities. This upgrade aims to optimize patient care by providing more versatile and adaptable transport solutions. The SCDF anticipates the new ambulances will improve response times and resource allocation during critical situations.
