The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) reported a record-breaking revenue collection of Rs370.064 billion for the fiscal year 2025-26, surpassing its Rs362bn target. This represents a substantial 20.17% increase from the Rs307.930 billion collected in the previous year. The Sindh Sales Tax (SST) contributed the largest portion, reaching Rs344.602bn, a 21.2% jump year-over-year. Collections from the Sindh Workers’ Welfare Fund and Sindh Companies’ Profits Workers’ Participation Fund also saw growth, increasing by 10% to Rs24.435bn. While agricultural income tax collection exceeded Rs1bn, it didn’t meet its Rs6bn target. SRB Chairman Wasif Ali Memon highlighted a strong finish to the year, with a record Rs45.08bn collected in June, despite economic challenges and regional conflicts, attributing success to dedicated staff and taxpayer cooperation.
