Construction has officially commenced on the third tunnel within the second section of the Sibiu-Pitești highway. This development allows for simultaneous work on three separate tunnels across the project's mountainous sector. According to the director of CNAIR, the site is currently heavily mobilized to accelerate progress. Approximately 562 workers are deployed on the ground to execute the works. Additionally, 155 pieces of specialized machinery are active at the construction site. This strategic push aims to overcome the geographical challenges of the mountain terrain. The project remains a critical priority for improving connectivity between the two cities.
