Bulgarian food safety authorities have confirmed an outbreak of sheep pox in the town of Parvomay, located in the Plovdiv region. The disease was detected at a farm housing 30 sheep. The farm owner proactively reported the suspected cases to the Bulgarian Agency for Food Safety (BAFH). BAFH officials are currently implementing measures to contain the outbreak and prevent further spread of the highly contagious viral disease.
