Sharks assistant coach Warren Whiteley believes the team’s overall squad depth will be crucial as they face Lyon without several players currently on duty with the Springboks. Whiteley is confident that players within the Sharks’ ranks are prepared to step up and fill the void left by those representing South Africa. The focus is on leveraging the strength of the entire team, rather than relying on individual stars. This comes as the Sharks prepare for their match against Lyon, navigating the challenges posed by key players being unavailable. Whiteley emphasized the importance of players seizing the opportunity to showcase their abilities. The Sharks are banking on a collective effort to secure a positive result despite the Springbok absences in Lyon. This situation provides a platform for development and reinforces the team’s reliance on a robust, versatile player base.
