Fire departments responded to potential lightning strikes causing fires in Schoondijke (Zeeland) and Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel (South Holland), and possibly in the Utrecht region. A large tree fell on a house and car in Molenschot, near Breda, but no injuries were reported. Wind speeds reached 113 kilometers per hour in Vlissingen, according to Buienradar. Emergency services are requesting the public to only call 112 in life-threatening situations.
