Severe thunderstorms impacted the Czech Republic on Monday afternoon, bringing strong winds, heavy rainfall, and hail. The most significant storms are currently affecting northern, central, and southern Bohemia. Meteorologists at the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) recorded wind gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour on Milešovka. The storms are moving eastward, raising concerns about the potential formation of supercells. Authorities are warning residents to prepare for hazardous conditions, including flooding from the intense rainfall. Further deterioration of weather conditions is expected as the storm system progresses.
