An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of seven people and injuries to three others, according to Lebanese state media. The attack occurred Saturday morning and was reported by the National News Agency of Lebanon (NNA). This escalation follows rocket fire from Hezbollah towards Israel, intended as support for their ally, Iran. The renewed conflict stems from a war initiated by Israel and the United States against Iran on February 28th. Israel responded with significant airstrikes and a ground invasion, which Lebanon reports has caused 4,300 fatalities. This latest strike marks a further intensification of violence in the region. The situation remains volatile as tensions continue to rise between Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran.
