A Serbian family of five embarked on a multi-day kayaking journey down the South Morava River, aiming to reach the Danube and Ramska Fortress. Biljana, Dragan, and their three daughters – Teodora (14), Sofija (12), and Iskra (7) – are undertaking the challenge to raise funds for NURDOR, an organization supporting children with cancer. For every meter they paddle, donations are being accepted to benefit the charity’s work. The family intends to travel the entire length of the South Morava, a significant undertaking requiring physical endurance and logistical planning. Supporters can contribute to NURDOR based on the distance covered by the family’s kayaks. The initiative highlights a unique and personal approach to charitable fundraising within the community. The journey began in Niš and is expected to conclude at Ramska Fortress, marking the river’s confluence with the Danube.
