The results of the first round of the 2026 technical baccalaureate exams in Tambacounda, Senegal, have been released, showing a marked improvement in pass rates. Of the 115 registered candidates, 113 participated in the exams, with a gender distribution of 32 males and 83 females. Forty-nine candidates passed outright, including 11 who achieved an “Assez Bien” (Good Enough) mention. An additional 44 candidates are eligible for the second round of exams, offering them another opportunity to earn their diplomas. Twenty candidates failed the first round. Overall, the success rate reached 46.22%, a substantial increase from the 37.03% recorded in the previous session, indicating improved performance in the region.
