The southern part of Senegal is expected to experience light rain accompanied by thunderstorms in the coming hours. The National Agency of Civil Aviation and Meteorology (ANACIM) forecasts cloudy conditions across several localities in the south, valid from 12h on October 17, 2026, to 12h on October 18, 2026. The regions of Kolda and Ziguinchor, along with Cap-Skirring, are particularly likely to be affected by these rain-thunderstorm activities, potentially spreading towards the Saloum Islands. Dakar and Saint-Louis will see partly cloudy skies in the evening and overnight. Temperatures across Senegal are expected to remain high, ranging from 32 to 40°C, despite the potential for precipitation in the south. Visibility will be good nationwide, with weak to moderate north winds.
