Senegal’s President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has removed Babacar Ndiaye from his position as Director General of the Société Nationale de Recouvrement (SNR), the national recovery company. The dismissal is part of an ongoing series of personnel changes across governmental agencies and public companies initiated by President Faye since taking office. Papa Ibrahima Senghor, a banker with a Master’s degree in business law, has been appointed as Ndiaye’s replacement. This decision was formalized through individual measures taken by the President within the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Planning. The move reflects President Faye’s broader effort to restructure leadership within key state organizations. Several national agency and company heads have been replaced in recent months with individuals aligned with the President’s vision. The changes signal a desire to install a new team at the helm of Senegal’s strategic institutions.
